Fish City Hamilton has an extensive range of gear for hire, with a variety of makes and sizes to suit you.
We are able to fit you out with a complete kit containing everything you need to go diving or any extra equipment you may require. Our selection includes everything you need to dive, including tanks, wet-suits, BCD's, weight belts, fins and more
Fish City Hamilton runs courses where you can enjoy learning to dive safely with our experienced dive instructors Roger and Polly. They collectively have over 40 years experience and are dedicated to ensuring you earn your Open Water Diver Certification while becoming a confident, successful diver.
- Fish City provides Ocean dives off a boat, not the beach like some competitors.

The pool training sessions typically take place at WaterWorld
The open water dive usually takes place around the Alderman islands, Castle Rock or the Hahei Marine Reserve, with boarding taking place at Paku wharf
The boat and skipper are provided by Delphinus Divers Ltd, run by Steve and Brenda who both hold NZ Maritime NZ skippers certificates. The boat is the 'Tairua Dive', an 8.3m, Stabicraft which provides the ultimate in stability and safety, with a big open back deck that gives plenty of room to comfortably gear up between dives. The boat is equipped with two new 2007 115 Optimax Mercury outboards, a 350 litre in- floor fuel tank and all required safety equipment eg. life jackets, flares, fire extinghers & EPIRB etc.
