New McLay 755 Cruiser Hard Top Demo
The Ultimate in Aluminium
After many years of setting up boats for others including alloy, fiberglass and even race boats we wanted to put together a competitive package that kept in mind the important practical options when purchasing a boat of this size. Thinking about what people use their boats for and trying to incorporate quality, affordability and the very best performance we feel we have a very special boat.
If you have a family, you may want to over night in it, use it for towing the kids as well as serous fishing, diving or just cruising so with that in mind we based this model around the 720 Cruiser with some modifications so these are the new specifications starting with the hull;

The New Fish City Demonstrator is Powered by Mercruiser
Now for powering this all rounder we chose the Mercruiser Seacore 350Mag & Bravo Three Drive. It will run just as well with a diesel however After many years boating experience we stopped and asked, what is important when you come to power your hull? We decided there are a few equally important factors, which are economy, power, maintenance, warranty and reliability. After a lot of homework looking at all the new products available and there costs we chose this for the following benefits;
Corrosion Resistance Obviously this will reduce maintenance costs, increasing reliability and creating a longer life span.
Here is what Mercury has said about their new system "Saltwater can take its toll on marine propulsion systems. This is why the SeaCore system from Mercruiser offers more than just improved corrosion resistance. It's as close as a marine propulsion system can come to being corrosion proof"
Lower Maintenance 100/300 hour maintenance intervals. Air actuated raw water drain. Easy oil drain system. Engine mounted freshwater flush system.
Better Warranty Four year factory fitted warranty for Installation Quality Certified Manufacturers, (three year limited warranty for non-certified installations). Four year limited warranty against corrosion failure.
Power From the Mercury website we gathered this information "Impressive torque combines with smooth delivery for spirited acceleration and quiet operation. The 350 MAG is ideal for powering larger runabouts and cruisers. The timeless small block V-8 base engine features a roller tappet camshaft for less friction and heavy-duty internal components for excellent reliability and long life. All of our V8 Bravo Multi-Port Injection (MPI) sterndrive models are available with optional Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS), which eliminates cable maintenance and provides consistent smooth shifting."
Economy Yes it is a V8 but it is actually quite fuel efficient and as we looked at the bigger picture we quickly realized that in comparison with cost of capitol of purchasing similar horse power Diesel engines( cost 30-40k more! maintenance on diesel engines is more expensive.
The Bravo Three Efficient. Maneuverable. Unbeatable. The twin-prop design says it all. The Bravo Three is an efficient drive built without compromise. More than an upgrade from the Alpha drive, it has a mystique all its own. Perhaps it's the best-in-class shifting or its counter rotating propeller design - enabling agile handling in reverse for precision maneuverability. The Bravo Three is unbeatable.

Last but not least the Trailer. This is a Toko Tandem Axle Trailer. We have upgraded to mag wheels and stainless calipers & fittings. Also we have the all important mounted spare wheel.
Packages for a boat like this can be quite expensive but after doing our homework we have incorporated what's important into $ 168,000.00. We can also modify the above specifications to suit your budget and specific needs.
The Fish City demonstrator is available for your perusal. As it can sometimes be between branches you are welcome to check with the Sales Team to ensure it is at the branch when you would like to look at it.
